Top 5 Trends I’m Loving In 2018

Check out my top 5 trends that I am enjoying right now! We’re already into the third month of the year. I can’t believe this time has flown by so fast. Spring is just around the corner and I wanted to share with you the styles I am enjoying right now. All of them are great stand alone pieces and all from my one of my favorite retailers, Top Shop.

Plaid Blazer

Who would’ve thought that Clueless would make such a strong come back so quickly? It only made sense with the 90’s trends becoming so popular in the last year or so. It’s honestly my favorite era when it comes to fashion. Plaid jackets have been everywhere lately, it literally goes with any solid bottom. You could even pair it with a similar plaid pant or some color!

Okay so, anyone that knows me, knows that I love a good pair of mom jeans! I have so many pairs of jeans like this. Light, dark, distressed, you name it. Jeans are my favorite and contrary to the name, they’re have a very flattering fit. With the high waist, cropped leg and being a great fit for any body type, it’s definitely a go-to style of mine. See here.

Next up is a style that I’ve been wearing pretty much everyday, my Baker boy hat. I am absolutely in love with this hat! I have three different pairs. A faux leather one for the rain, a corduroy one for colder days and a plaid one that I plan to wear during warmer weather. Number one, it’s great for  a bad hair day … or just a lazy day. Put it together with your favorite pants, a clean white tee, black boots or white sneakers and viola – you have a simple, yet chic look 🙂

We’ve all seen this beautiful bag everywhere in the past year! This retro-styled wooden tote is the perfect remix to the straw bag. I’ve never really been into straw bags or espadrilles. So when I seen this trend, I immediately knew I needed this to add to my wardrobe.  My style is very simple, so being able to add a cool accessory like this one here would complete my look.

Last, but definitely not least. Mules. These V-cut mules have been all over the runways and the v is such a sexy cut for a shoe and a great look  on a mule. This is a very classy style shoe. Growing up I’ve noticed my mother, my stylish teachers, business women .. pretty much any lady with any sense of style wearing this type of shoe. All of those women were fashion forward, strong and about their business! Whether they were six inches or two .. it didn’t matter. I fell in love with this style shoe!
